Reginald W. Belcher, Attorney

A 1992 graduate of West Virginia University (summa cum laude), Reggie attended the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of Wig and Robe and of the Student Editorial Board of the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Journal.

Reggie joined McNair Law Firm, P.A., in May 1994 as a law clerk, becoming an associate 1996 in the firm's Labor and Employment section. In May 2003, he became a shareholder. His primary focus is on employment law and personnel and human resources management matters. He is a member of the S.C. and Richland County Bar Associations.

An editor-in-chief of the S.C. Employment Law Letter, Reggie co-authored the S.C. Human Resources File Cabinet. He serves as a board member for the Columbia Society for Human Resource Management, as president of the Columbia Sertoma Club, and has served as president of the USC/Master of Human Resources Alumni Association.

 
Linda Jacobsen Bradley, PhD., CPA

A much sought-after presenter, Dr. Bradley chairs the Department of Accounting and Legal Studies at the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina, and is director for MS Accountancy. She earned her bachelor of science degree in mathematics from the University of Texas at Arlington, her master of science degree in accounting with tax concentration from Texas Tech University, and her doctor of philosophy from the University of North Texas, where her major field of study was accounting with tax concentration and her minor was economics.

Dr. Bradley has authored and co-authored articles for numerous publications, such as Charleston Regional Business Journal, Coastal Business Review, and Journal of Corporate Accounting and Finance. Her list of professional program presentations is lengthy and has included audiences of CPAs, investment representatives, and economists.

 
Jim Caulder
A graduate of Newberry College, in Newberry, South Carolina, with a degree in business administration, Jim was employed with the Social Security Administration for 33 years, the last 17 as the resource for pre-retirement education for both the public and private sectors. He conducted workshops for employees of both small and large businesses, including General Motors, Westinghouse, SCE&G, AT&T, Eastman Kodak, as well as state and local governmental agencies, religious organizations, colleges and universities. A resource for tax attorneys and CPAs, Jim earned the Social Security Administration's highest award – the Commissioner's Citation.

In 1994, Jim left to form Informed Decisions, a private consulting firm, and continues to assist individuals, companies, agencies, colleges, and universities with their Social Security needs. He has been on the faculty of numerous conferences and seminars and has written training materials for many retirement workshops. Recognized as a technical expert on Social Security and Medicare entitlement programs, Jim has appeared on both television and radio, and is often called "Mister Social Security."
 
Bernard B. Clark, Attorney and CPA

A member of the American and N.C. Bar Associations, Bernard received his B.A. from the University of South Carolina (cum laude) and his J.D. from Duke University. He is associated with Moore & Van Allen in the firmÕs Charlotte office.

Bernard's practice is focused on tax planning for corporate and partnership transactions, and on tax controversy matters, primarily at the federal level. His planning has included numerous corporate mergers and recapitalizations, issues related to S corporation reorganizations, investments of mezzanine and venture capital funds, acquisition of financially troubled companies, and acquisitions of domestic entities by foreign companies.

His controversy practice includes representation of C corporations, S corporations, and partnerships in audits and at appeal. Bernard has also participated in obtaining numerous rulings from the Internal Revenue Service involving tax accounting and acquisition issues.

 
Robert A. Fisher, Attorney
Rob earned his B.B.A. and M.A. from Texas Tech University in 1998. In 2001, he was awarded his J.D. from the College of William & Mary, and that year was admitted to the North Carolina Bar Association.

Rob is active with the Taxation Sections of both the American and North Carolina Bar Associations. He is an associate in the Charlotte office of Moore & Van Allen in the firmÕs Charlotte office, practicing in the area of corporate tax law.
 
Henrietta Golding, Attorney

As a shareholder with The McNair Law Firm in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Henrietta primarily practices in the areas of employment and labor law, as well as banking law and civil and commercial litigation. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Charleston in 1974 and her Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1977.

An active member of the Horry County, South Carolina, and American Bar Associations, Henrietta is a certified specialist in employment and labor law and is a certified mediator in state and federal courts. She is also a member of the S.C. Trial Lawyers Association and the Defense Research Institute and serves on the board of directors for the S.C. Women Lawyers Association.

 
John Hamilton, CPA, CMA

John is a shareholder with Hamilton, McKinney, Moss & Co., in Columbia, South Carolina. In this capacity he offers litigation support and expert witness testimony in litigation concerning CPA firms. He has conducted more than 275 peer reviews of CPA firms nationwide and audits and reviews a wide spectrum of engagements, such as Erisa, governmental, construction, not-for-profit, CIRA, and automotive. He also has extensive experience in engagement for individual net worth statements, projections and forecasts, and internal control reviews.

A University of South Carolina graduate with a bachelor of science degree in accounting, John serves on a number of professional association committees, including the SCACPA and National Affiliated CPA Firms. He also serves on the Accounting Committee of the S.C. Supreme Court. John is co-author of "Guide to Preparing Interim Financial Statements."

 
Allen Jeffcoat III, Attorney at Law
Managing partner with Jeffcoat Pike & Napier in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Allen has been an attorney in private practice since 1973. His experience encompasses real estate, probate, environmental, elder, corporate, and civil law, as well as estate planning, construction litigation, foreclosures, and general civil litigation.

Educated at Princeton University (Magna Cum Laude) and the University of South Carolina School of Law, Allen is a member of the Horry County, the S.C., the N.C., and the American Bar Associations. He has served in various leadership positions with those groups. Additionally, Allen is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Horry County Probate Court Advisory Committee.

In 1989, Allen was named by S.C. Gov. Carroll Campbell to his Freshwater Wetlands Forum, a 37-member statewide taskforce, to make recommendations for legislation dealing with freshwater wetlands regulation.
 
J. Scott Long, Attorney
Born and raised in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Scott graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1985 with a double major in accounting and finance. Three years later, while living and working in Atlanta, he passed the CPA exam.

He returned to Columbia, and in 1992 received his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Upon earning his law degree, Scott and wife April moved back to Myrtle Beach, where he established his general practice law firm with an emphasis on real estate, corporations, simple wills, and 1031 exchanges. In 2000, Scott was appointed as a prosecutor for the city of Myrtle Beach, and in 2001 was named a part-time city judge.

He and April have three wonderful, beautiful children.
 
R. Michael Munden, Attorney at Law, CPA, ChFC/CLU
Michael received his undergraduate degree in 1972 and his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina in 1975. In 1986, he earned the ChFC/CLU designation from American College.

As an adjunct professor at Coastal Carolina University, he has taught Federal Income Taxation, Legal Environment of Business, and Financial and Managerial Accounting. For Webster University’s Master’s Program, he has taught Business Finance/Financial Accounting.

Michael is a member of a number of professional associations, including the Horry County, S.C., and American Bar Associations, as well as the S.C. Association of Certified Public Accountants, the American Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the Society of Financial Service Professionals.
 
Jackie H. Park, CPA
Jackie is a graduate of College of Charleston, with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. She worked for McKnight Frampton and Co. in Charleston and then with Cherry Bekaert & Holland in Myrtle Beach for three years prior to becoming comptroller for the Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach in 1992. Serving in this capacity for five years enabled her to experience the private sector of the accounting profession. There she was responsible for all accounting functions as well as all human resource duties.

After a short tenure at Conway Hospital as accounting director, Jackie again entered private practice, where for the past six years, she has operated as a sole practitioner, specializing in corporate work, primarily with clients in the hospitality industry. She offers various accounting services, but most enjoys small-business consulting.

Jackie and her husband Joey have two children, ages 10 and 14. She served on the board of directors for Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach for six years, as both treasurer and personnel chairman. Active in her local church, First United Methodist Church of Myrtle Beach, Jackie received the CAMEO (Career and Motherhood, Equal Opportunity) award in 1994.
 
Stephen Park, Banking Executive

During his 12-year career with Bank of America, Steve has consistently taken under-performing banking centers to the top in four different markets, thanks to his unique ability to identify and implement changes, while increasing employee motivation, moral, and performance. In 1996, he was recognized as his company's top business banker.

A market manager in Charlotte, N.C., Steve leads 17 client managers in developing financial solutions for small business owners. He is a graduate of Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C., with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. Steve holds Series 6, 26, 63, and insurance licenses.

 
R. Scott Pyle, Investment Officer

Scott is a senior vice president, investment officer, with Wachovia Securities in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In 1989 he earned a B.B.A. in finance from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, and then received his Texas Life, Health & Disability License. He opened Capital Marketing Life Insurance Agency, leaving there in 1992.

Scott has more than 12 years investment experience, working with Merrill Lynch, where he completed the Merrill Lynch Professional Development Program and received the firm's Financial Manager designation. With Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, he earned that company's Retirement Planning Specialist and Estate Planning Specialist designations. He joined Wachovia Securities in 2002.

 

Chris Quick, CPA and Special Agent

Chris' degree in accounting from the University of Arkansas, along with his private practice experience in auditing, accounting services, and taxation, has served him well during his last 14 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Charleston, S.C. As a special agent, he has investigated cases involving money laundering, organized crime, and various white-collar fraud. Currently Chris is conducting a massive corporate accounting fraud investigation of executives and independent CPAs with a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ.

Prior to his position with the FBI, Chris was a special agent for the Internal Revenue Service in Miami, where he worked in the Criminal Investigation Division. During his four years there, he was involved in uncovering tax evasion and money laundering/drug-related financial crime.

 

Ronnie Sarkari, Systems Administrator

In charge of technology services for eight resort properties in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Ronnie maintains the property management system and database, provides hardware and software support, and troubleshoots Windows 2000 (Pro and Server) and Windows NT (Workstation and Server). Ronnie is experienced in SQL Server, Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook. He holds second-level certification in Crystal Reports 8.5 and is trained in HTML, JavaScript, and Cold Fusion. Additionally, Ronnie is proficient with Intuit software, specifically Quickbooks 2003.

Ronnie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Science degree in physics with a minor in mathematics from the University of Bombay.

James Addison Weaver, ChFC, CLU, CFP

Regional vice president with Sun Life Financial, James has more than 16 years experience in planned giving techniques to charities, estate conservation, privately-owned business continuation, disposition planning, non-qualified deferred compensation strategies, and IRS Section 412(l) retirement plans.

James has an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Georgia and a master's degree in management from Leslie College in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is a popular speaker, having presented to professional groups, business owners, and associations throughout the Southeast.
