Carolina Forest Elementary
School History

Carolina Forest Elementary is located just off of Highway 501 in the heart of Carolina Forest. The school opened in the fall of 1996 with 640 students who previously attended Myrtle Beach Primary, Myrtle Beach Elementary, Forestbrook Elementary, and Waccamaw Elementary. We now have more than 1,100 students and 110 teachers and staff members.

CFE works diligently to ensure academic success for all children. Our students are involved in many activities that expand their learning. These include: Steel Drum Band, Chorus, The Writing Club, Taiko Drums, The Spanish Club and African Drumming and Dancing.

Each year our school has one main fundraiser supported by our Friends of the Forest PTO. This event is called Founder's Day and it is held in November. It is an event that is a community celebration and it includes many activities. Several events include: A Silent Auction, A Classroom Themed Basket Auction, Raffle Drawings, Inflatable Rides for Children, Arts and Crafts, Food and much more!
