Mission
Statement
The
mission of Carolina Forest Elementary (CFE), a community of families
and friends embracing progressive learning, is to ensure that
all learners attain a lifelong love of learning, by giving the
best of our minds and hearts in personalized, innovative, challenging
curricula.

was named a National Blue Ribbon School in 2004 by the US
Department of Education. |

CFE
has been rated as an "Excellent" school on the state school
report card every year report cards have been issued. |

This
school has received the Palmetto Gold Award of excellence
for student performance on the PACT assessment for the last
four years. |

In
2003 we were named a Red Carpet School for being a family
friendly school. |

CFE
was nominated by the State Department of Education for the
National Blue Ribbon Schools Program. |

We
have seven Nationally Certified Teachers on our staff. |

CFE
has been presented with the Pacesetter Award from Horry County
Schools for significant achievement towards District performance
goals. |

In
2003 we were cited by the Education Oversight Committee for
closing the gap in achievement for our African American students
in mathematics. |

In
2003 and 2004, CFE made Adequate Yearly Progress in all of
our sub-groups. This criteria was set forth by the federal
government under No Child Left Behind. |
